I’ve been operating the travel business for 10 years now, new to travel when I started I signed up with the Global Travel Group (before The Travel Network Group acquisition) and was let loose to create a travel business. Since then I’ve relocated the business from a solo top floor office to a small retail store on a dead high street, to a business park, then to an office location on a busy high street and now into a prime retail spot on a busy high street in Harpenden Herts. Each time improving our sales and offering to our clients.
Now as Travel Trust Association (TTA) members, we move between tour operation and travel agency work to ensure the best solution for our growing client base. From just myself in the business in 2014, we now have four employees, are looking for a fifth and we have 12 home working Associates.
I joined the TTA in 2020 to get more control over how and who we sell, ability to choose our own tech and as a low cost model it was a great solution to drive the business forward.
We also benefit from great commercials, marketing and back office support. The TTA and The Travel Network Group are always striving to improve their offering, this is great to see and be a part of.
Supplier payments through TAPs and commercial agreements are the core services we access that make our day to day business much more simple. The extra marketing services are of great benefit too.
I know we get listened to by everyone at the TTA and although we haven’t experienced any issues of concern I’m confident we could resolve anything that arises.
Overall, we really get great value and enjoy being part of the TTA.
